Ridley talks about the conflict between the X and Y chromosome in this chapter. He also states that each attract specific genes that aids and benefits that sex. The X chromosome attracks the sex genes while the Y attracts the masculine genes as said in the chapter. It is also said that the gene xq28 shows connection to sex however that is not 100% correct. Sometimes i think the conflict between the X and Y is kind of amusing because they actually "fight". They talk about being outnumbered and that the Y has to make itself smaller to defense against attacks from the X
