 When there is a smaller surface area in the simulation, the rate of diffusion will increase. however, with a big surface area, the rate of diffusion will slow down due to a bigger cell. When the cell size increases, diffusion decreases. When the cell have a cylinder like shape, with many number of dimples and villi, that is when the diffusion rate is highest.
