through looking at the 3d shapes, i learned that
*the shapes of glucose and fructose are very identical. They are both a hexose.
*sucrose is the formation of fructose and glucose and are linked by a glycosidic bond that sits in between the two.
*Glucouse has a 6 atom ring called pyranose while fructose has a 5 atom ring called furanose
*The pyranose ring of glucose has a chair formed structure
*when removing the hydrogen atoms, comparing the glucose and fructose, the ends are shaped differently
