Bacterial Transformation

In the bacterial transformation, the DNA in the environment is taken to the bacterial cell. However in transduction there is a piece of the DNA that is transported to the cell by viruses.By doing so, an organism becomes resistant to the antibiotics. The process of when naked cells take out naked dna is called bacterial transformation. If host cell identifies the dna, it will replicate with foreign dna. Competants are bacteria that helps update dna which also aid in treatments of many kinds of diseases. The cell membrane in bacteria are permeable to the chloride ions. Water aids the chlride ions when the enter, which then helps the uptake of the dna. When e. coli are exposed to heat, they will show genes that help many bacterial survive. The genes are called the heat shock gene.
