In this book, what surprised me the most was the experiments on the fruit flies. The experiments created by Benzer were present in every chapter and the one he did on how the fruit flies moved to light than the dark. Also, it amazes me how flies may have such a big impact to scientist and that will affect the world in the future...They discovered dna and the genes. He also discovered many aspects of animal behavior and how the flies went to the light as taxis or kinesis movement. He and groups of scientist conducted experiments that changed history for other scientists.
